Dxbase 2007
"Online DXCC" ADI file maker program
Designed and made by Joe WA6AXE

** IMPORTANT ** --- The ZIP file you will download also contains the dao350.dll file ...
Very important here -- PSE check your computer's

Windows XP machine:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO

Windows7 machine:

C:\Program Files (X86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO

directory to ensure that the file named as    dao350.dll    IS THERE ---
if it is NOT there -- pse extract/save the da0350.dll file from my ZIP file into the following:

Easiest method would be :
(1) Extract/Save to the Directory listed above (for your computer).
(2) Check the dao350.dll "Properties" and make sure that the file is NOT "Blocked" -- if
it is Blocked -- unblocked it .. then press APPLY .. then press OK ...
(3) Bring up the " RUN " program and type-into TextBox:

On a Windows XP machine:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao350.dll"

On a Windows7 machine:

regsvr32 "C:\Program Files (X86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\DAO\dao350.dll"

Press OK ... This will "register" your dao350.dll file.

Requirements:

(1) Back-up your 2007 Refdata.mdb file and your 2007 Logbook.mdb file.

(2) You have read and fully understand ALL of the information located at the
following ARRL.ORG website LINK:

https://p1k.arrl.org/onlinedxcc/index.php

(3) You fully understand how the DXbase Awards Module works!

What my program does:

(1) Version 1.00 of my Online DXCC ADI file maker program is simply a standalone
exe program that will make an ADI FILE from the contents of your DXCCFORM table, which
is located inside of your logbook mdb file.

(2) My program WILL NOT select the QSOs for you. This action is done STRICTLY
within and by the DXbase program's own AWARD module.

Getting the program files out of the ZIP file:

(1) Open the ZIP file (LINK is at bottom of this webpage) and using your ZIP file
program, EXTRACT and SAVE the 2007dxcconline.exe file to your DXbase2007 main directory.

The 2 files enclosed in the ZIP are:

  • 2007dxcconline.exe -- (which is the standalone exe program)
  • dao350.dll -- (the DAO file mentioned above - if needed!)

    Using the program:

    (1) Once you have run the DXbase2007 Awards Module (DXCC) for the CARD QSOs you
want to include in the submission, execute (open) my 2007dxcconline.exe program.
You CAN setup (if not correct already) the path and filename for your logbook mdb file
and for your refdata mdb file. The default is what you last used to open DXbase2007 with.
Press the "Make ADI file" button and wait for the program to finish - you can tell when it
is finished by the BUTTON titled "View" to become an ACTIVE BUTTON (not grayed-out).
Once the program is finished running - press the "View" button and the FULL adi file
will open up in the WORDPAD program. You can simply look at the ADI FILE contents and
also -- if you WANT on your own to SAVE that adi file to another location (other than my
default location) - you can SAVE AS and path it - to anything you want.

    (2) Exit the 2007dxcconline.exe program -- and go to the "ONLINE DXCC ARRL website" that
was listed above -- and select the "Import ADIF" tab. Scrolldown to the bottom of that
webpage and look for the "Browse" button for the " Import File : "    textbox ...

    (a) Here - you have two options on how to proceed -- (1) Press the browse button and
path yourself over to your DXbase2007 main directory and locate the " onlinedxcc.adi " file
select and open it into the Textbox area

    --- or ---

    (b) (2) Press the browse button and path yourself over to the directory where YOU SAVED
the adi file that you SAVED and renamed.

  • Here is a TEXT File showing the contents of the ADI File I made today of my own
277 Mixed QSOs that I wanted to include in the ADI File to be imported (sent up to) the
    Online DXCC website.

    My own ADI FILE sample
