Above Left photo - gravel truck damage 1961. These late 1961 Kami Seya photos show what was out on the main drag in front of the base. Two bars, Ruby and the Green House, a "Chinese" tailor, and a custom shoe store. The buildings knocked down were the result of a Japanese gravel truck hitting these places right after I got to Kami Seya in August 61. They used to barrel down that road, driven probably, as they still are in Japan, by young guys that look like they're only teenagers. Nowadays occasionally even young girls can be seen driving big trucks in Japan.

Above Right photo - gravel truck damage 1961.

Above Left photo - is of Roger Danielson.

Above Right photo - (L-R) Rohrbach was known as "Snake", Dave "Ben" Herr and just "Dusty".

Above Left photo - View looking toward the Ham Radio station (KA2KS).

Above Right photo - is of Ron Stott, left, and Jim Yeargain in Yokohama in 1961.
