Timothy J. Conley, CTT1 USN Retired, 1970-1990 After reading Chief Glockner's response, I must say that things directed my path in a similar fashion. I filled out my dreamsheet in the summer of 1970 and fully expected to go to Nam as a Corpsman or something similar. But my fate was decided by the absense of a 5th choice on my dreamsheet and the fact that I scored 100 on my Morse Code test. The interviewer said that he had the perfect job code for me. I asked what and he said - "If I told you - I would have to shoot you!" That is an actual quote. Anyway, he said I would enjoy being a CT. I said "What is that?" Refer to the quote above. I went to Pensacola for school and on to Guam and never looked back. I really enjoyed my time in the Navy as a CT. Couldn't talk about it to anyone, but it was a rewarding career choice. I wouldn't want to go back as anything else. Tim Conley, CTT1 (Retired)
