Ms Jill Schicht of St. Cloud, Florida - the daughter of World War II veteran Marine
Manual (Bud) Gilbert Heath, USMC - donated an 8 foot by 16 foot (approx.) hand stitched
Japanese Battle Flag to the command display. Marine was with the 4th Battalion,
13 Marines, 5th Division, Fleet Marine Force during the invasion of Okinawa, Japan.

Ms Schicht wrote that her father gave an Okinawa lady and her children some food and
water. The only thing the lady could give in return was the battle flag, which
Marine Heath accepted.
