* IMPORTANT Instructions :  for handling of the ZIP file and the Rptdesc.ini file

(1)     Download the ZIP file (bottom of this webpage). Unzip the ZIP file and Extract/Save the
dxatlasVUCCgridsMapPins.rpt
file into your DXbase2006 "Reports" folder/subdirectory.

Note: There is a TXT file within the ZIP file - that shows the LINE of information
that needs to be copied/pasted into your Rptdesc.ini file.

(2)     Edit your    Rptdesc.ini    file using Notepad or Wordpad -
Copy/paste the contents of the TXT file (exactly as is) into one of the Standard Reports folder --
such as in the DXCC related area.

** IMPORTANT Special Instructions :  for generating and saving the "Pin" LST type of file.

(1) Open the DXbase2006 program
(2) Go to Output / Standard Reports ....
   find the    dxatlasVUCCgridsMapPins.rpt    filename.
(3) Execute the file selected in step (2) above (View) ...
(4) When the OPTIONS window comes up -- make your selection for each of the options.
(5) PSE be very patient!!! When the report is finished running -- you will then,
staying in that report window, go to the EXPORT Icon up on the main menu of the
report window (EXPORT Icon looks like an envelope).
(6) Once the EXPORT small window opens - select:

Format: = Text
Destination: = Disk file

Press OK ....

At this point - we want to path/select the folder where the "current" DXAtlas    Pin.lst    file is
located at ... Please press the "Up One Level" Icon, in the "Choose Export File" window
(currently open), enough times so that you will end up in C: drive -- then find/enter into the
Program Files directory / Afreet directory / DXAtlas directory / Pins directory -- then staying
in that directory/folder, type-in the desired filename of:

vuccmappins.lst

and press SAVE.

* VERY important NOTE!!    Some O/S (XP Pro, etc) will cause the file to SAVE as

vuccmappins.lst.txt

Note that there are 2 file extensions. The first filename extension of .lst you type-in; but,
some O/S appends the .txt to that full filename and extension.

If your system does that - using Windows Explorer, find and enter into the Pins directory
and Rename the file to what it should be - which is:

vuccmappins.lst

(7) Now, exit out of the DXbase report completely, as we are done with it. You have already
generated a user's Pin LST file ...

(8) Open DXatlas and go to main menu / File / Load / Pin List ... Select the vuccmappins.lst file.
Note: be sure that the Icon for "Show Pins" is active ---

(9) FYI - important -- the report file is using the (GRIDSTAT) VUCC Stats TABLE from your
logbook's mdb file!!! Therefore, anytime that you make a new entry/entries in the logbook -- and
you intend on using the new report .. BE SURE to "Initialize Tables" BEFORE running the
report.. Otherwise your output will NOT contain the new entries' info.

(10) FYI - Each PIN is Annotated with the "4-character GRID" .. so, when you place
your mouse cursor over any "PIN head" - just "right-click" the mouse and scrolldown to and
select the "Annotate Pin ..." -- a small window will pop-up with the NOTES for this PIN.

OK YOU HAVE IT!!!

Now - if you want to look at a totally different scenario of OPTIONS - you will simply go thru the
same process as noted above...
