* IMPORTANT Instructions : for handling of the ZIP file, the Rptdesc.ini file, and the islandsIOTAdxbase.lst file.
Extract/Save the dxatlasIOTAmappins.rpt
file into your
Edit your Rptdesc.ini file using Notepad or Wordpad -Copy/paste the contents of the TXT file (exactly as is) into one of the Standard Reports folder -- such as in the DXCC related area.
Pathing is: Program Files/ Afreet / DXAtlas / Islands

** IMPORTANT Special Instructions : for generating and saving the "Pin" LST type of file.

At this point - we want to path/select the folder where the
"current" DXAtlas Pin.lst file is iotamappins.lst and press SAVE. iotamappins.lst.txt Note that there are 2 file extensions. The first filename extension of
.lst you type-in; but,
If your system does that - using Windows Explorer, find and enter into the
Pins directory
iotamappins.lst
(7) Now, exit out of the DXbase report completely, as we are done with
it. You have already
(8) Open DXatlas and go to main menu / File / Load / Pin List ...
Select the iotamappins.lst file.
(9) FYI - important -- the report file is using the (IOTASTAT) Stats
TABLE from your
(10) FYI - Each PIN is Annotated with the "IOTA Ref number and IOTA name".
When you place your mouse cursor over any "PIN head" - just
"right-click" the mouse and scrolldown
(11) Now, to load the IOTA Ref numbers as "labels" on the MAP.
With the DX Atlas program open, go to Main Menu:
File / Load/ Island List ... / islandsIOTAdxbase.lst
Now, click-on the Islands "big icon".
Now - if you want to look at a totally different scenario of
OPTIONS - you will simply go thru the |
