Requirements:
(1) You are running DXBase2007.
(2) You are running DX Atlas 2.25
Contents of the ZIP file (Pse do not download yet!):
dxatlasUSACApinmaker.exe
Pins.bmp
USACAlabels.lst
usacountydata.mdb
Description of what each file is used for:
dxatlasUSACApinmaker.exe -- The Main Program executable file.
Pins.bmp -- file that contains the FLAGS (vice using the regular PINS)
USACAlabels.lst -- The LST file, with the County Labels, that we will use in the DXAtlas program.
usacountydata.mdb -- The DATABASE file that I made for the USA-CA information.
Location where each file is to be extracted to/saved at:
dxatlasUSACApinmaker.exe -- DXbase2007 - Main Directory.
Pins.bmp -- DXAtlas - Main DXAtlas directory.
USACAlabels.lst -- DXAtlas - Islands Directory.
usacountydata.mdb -- DXbase2007 - Main Directory.
NOTE about the Pins.bmp file and how to use it.
If you save the Pins.bmp file into your DXAtlas' Main Directory,
and leave it titled as Pins.bmp -- this file will OVER-RIDE the
built-in/default true PINS that come standard with DXAtlas.
If you ever want to go back to using the true PINS - just RENAME
the Pins.bmp file to Pins_bak.bmp (or something else is fine) --
and then RESTART DXAtlas. You will then be back to the true PINS.
If you want to come-back to the FLAGS for pins - just again RENAME the
file again to be titled as: Pins.bmp ... you can change it back and forth
without any problem - just be sure and restart DXAtlas.
What is different about this program - as compared to others Joe has made:
The total number of USA-CA Reference numbers is 3,077. This was simply
TOO MANY for the program to handle (coded inside of the program itself). So, I
made a MDB file that holds all of the information about each of the 3,077
USA Counties. Therefore, the usacountydata.mdb file MUST be kept in your DXbase2007
Main Directory - along with my program's exe file.

Note: the above image shows the running of Al's (K8SIX) logbook.
NOTE! :: You have the CHOICE of having the "Pins" LST file include:
Worked and Confirmed CARD QSOs only
or --
Worked and Confirmed LOTW QSOs only
or --
Worked only QSOs (no confirmation)
or --
Not worked at all
You can include any or all of the above choices in your "Pins" LST file.
The "Pins" LST file is automatically saved into your DXAtlas - Pins Directory.
Within the ZIP file (that you will be downloading soon) - there is the one
file entitled:
USACAlabels.lst
This file has ALL of the 3,077 USA-CA Reference numbers listed in it for your
use within the DXAtlas program. To make use of the above file (after you have
extracted and saved the file to your DXAtlas - Islands Directory), OPEN the
DXAtlas program - go to Main Menu, File, Load, Island List...
and select the filename of USACAlabels.lst ... Now, to see the
County Ref #'s as LABELS on the MAP of DXATlas program, go to Main Menu, Map,
Labels, Islands(USACAlabels.lst) ... Now, to see the INDEX for
the County Ref #'s - go to Main Menu, View, Index..., Islands ... OK now you
have the County Ref #'s totally available to you within the DXAtlas program.
VERY IMPORTANT action you must take now:
The DXAtlas program, as you have it right now, will ONLY ZOOM-IN
a certain amount.. With there being SO MANY (3,077) County Ref #'s,
we MUST be able to ZOOM-IN "much more" than is currently available.
To be able to do this - you MUST:
Open the DxAtlas.ini file in the Notepad or Wordpad program.
The DxAtlas.ini file will be found in you DXAtlas Main Directory.
Once you open the DxAtlas.ini file - scrolldown to the line that
has the following:
[Map]
Add the following line of information (as is) - as a new line of info, just
underneath the Zoom=_____ line of info:
OverZoom=8
The above new line of information will allow DXAtlas to ZOOM-IN
8 times the normal zoom-in ... you will need this to be able to
view each of the separate County Ref #'s!! Save the DxAtlas.ini file.
The program's main screen shows you the "statistics" for the run.
Here are some screen-captures - taken of DXAtlas with the
PINS shown:
