Requirements:
(1) You are running DXBase2007.
(2) You are running DX Atlas 2.25
Contents of the ZIP file (Pse do not download yet!):
dxatlasRDApinmaker.exe
rda_data.mdb
RussianDistricts_RDA.lst
Description of what each file is used for:
dxatlasRDApinmaker.exe -- The Main Program executable file.
rda_data.mdb -- The DATABASE file that I made for the RDA information.
RussianDistricts_RDA.lst -- The LST file that we will use in the DXAtlas program.
Location where each file is to be extracted to/saved at:
dxatlasRDApinmaker.exe -- DXbase2007 - Main Directory.
rda_data.mdb -- DXbase2007 - Main Directory.
RussianDistricts_RDA.lst -- DXAtlas - Islands Directory.
What is my program looking for. And, how does it find it:
My program is looking for any QSO with a PREFIX of:
R1FJ, R1MV, UA, UA2, and UA0
My program looks into the above QSO's NOTES field for
an entry that is formatted as follows:
RDA-AB-01
or
RDA AB-01
The above examples are only EXAMPLES to show that I am "keying-in-on"
the 3 characters of:
RDA
to find an entry for the Russian Districts in the NOTES field of your logbook.
And, for my program to determine whether the QSO is "confirmed", the program
is looking at the CONFIRM column (for the CARD QSLs) -- and -- also looking
at the "SPECIAL-1 column" for the characters:
cfm
.. this is the the method by which you will signify that the QSO is
confirmed ON-LINE at the RDA website. This would be those special
confirmations without a QSL CARD.
What is different about this program - as compared to others Joe has made:
The total number of active RDA Reference numbers is 2,745. This was simply
TOO MANY for the program to handle (coded inside of the program itself). So, I
made a MDB file that holds all of the information about each of the 2,745
RDA #'s. Therefore, the rda_data.mdb file MUST be kept in your DXbase2007
Main Directory - along with my program's exe file.
Screen-capture of my Program's Options/Setup window follows:
Screen-capture of my Program's Main window (before any button is pressed) follows:
Screen-capture of my Program's Main window (after the RDA button is pressed) follows:
Screen-capture of my Program's Main window (after the program is DONE running!) follows:
Note: the above image shows the running of John's (OZ4RT) logbook.
NOTE! :: You have the CHOICE of having the "Pins" LST file include:
Worked and Confirmed QSOs only
or --
Worked only QSOs (no confirmation)
or --
Not worked at all
You can include any or all of the above choices in your "Pins" LST file.
The "Pins" LST file is automatically saved into your DXAtlas - Pins Directory.
Within the ZIP file (that you will be downloading soon) - there is the one
file entitled:
RussianDistricts_RDA.lst
This file has ALL of the 2,745 RDA Reference numbers listed in it for your
use within the DXAtlas program. To make use of the above file (after you have
extracted and saved the file to your DXAtlas - Islands Directory), OPEN the
DXAtlas program - go to Main Menu, File, Load, Island List...
and select the filename of RussianDistricts_RDA.lst ... Now, to see the
RDA Ref #'s as LABELS on the MAP of DXATlas program, go to Main Menu, Map,
Labels, Islands(RussianDistricts_RDA.lst) ... Now, to see the INDEX for
the RDA Ref #'s - go to Main Menu, View, Index..., Islands ... OK now you
have the RDA Ref #'s totally available to you within the DXAtlas program.
VERY IMPORTANT action you must take now:
The DXAtlas program, as you have it right now, will ONLY ZOOM-IN
a certain amount.. With there being SO MANY (2,745) RDA Ref #'s,
we MUST be able to ZOOM-IN "much more" than is currently available.
To be able to do this - you MUST:
Open the DxAtlas.ini file in the Notepad or Wordpad program.
The DxAtlas.ini file will be found in you DXAtlas Main Directory.
Once you open the DxAtlas.ini file - scrolldown to the line that
has the following:
[Map]
Add the following line of information (as is) - as a new line of info, just
underneath the Zoom=_____ line of info:
OverZoom=8
The above new line of information will allow DXAtlas to ZOOM-IN
8 times the normal zoom-in ... you will need this to be able to
view each of the separate RDA Ref #'s!! Save the DxAtlas.ini file.
The program's main screen shows you the "statistics" for the run.
Here are some screen-captures - taken of DXAtlas with the
PINS shown:
