Steve Quinn, CTR3 USN, 1969-73 I always like working with electrical stuff, once took our family’s toaster apart, and yes I did get it back together, all because I wanted to know how it worked. Liked radio alot also listening to the “AM” dial back in the 1960’s. Joined the Navy out of high school, the next year in 1970 my draft number came up # 42 so I beat that one. While in boot camp in the Great Lakes, I had good scores on math, science and clerical. I simply asked for something with radio and communications, and the rest was history. I remember being told to go down the hallway and sit on a bench. When I entered the room, the petty officer asked if Communication Technician would be ok, the words sounded good but he was not able to tell me anymore, but the training was in Fla (Cory Field)................. hence my journey began and I would do it again in a split second............. only wished I would have joined the NSA and stayed in the field after my discharge, it was fun Steve Quinn CTR3 1969-73 Misawa, Japan and USS Ranger CVA-61
