Ken Civitello, CTR3 USN, 1965-1967 When I was a senior in high school the navy sent a team of recruiters to the school to let us know of the opportunities the navy was offering. I could choose my job before I signed any papers. Since I was only 17 they sent a Lcdr to my house and with my Dad present he said the best the navy had to offer at that time was to be a CT. He could only tell me that it was classified but he was sure I would do well. To make a long story short I was sent to Bainbridge, MD to attend CTR school. Upon graduation I was stationed at Wahiawa, Hawaii. I went TAD on the Oriskany, Coral Sea and the Ranger. Like many of you I ended up being a CT by the luck of the draw. That was the luckiest I have ever been. I am proud to have been a CT and to have served with the best. Ken Civitello CTR3 1965-1967
