These are pictures of Montrose, near Edzell. Two pictures of the High Street, Montrose, which will be familiar to anyone stationed at Edzell. Montrose was a popular liberty town and place of off-base residence for married Edzell personnel.

This picture was taken c. 1966 in the old Locarno Ballroom in Montrose: (L to R):    A Scottish guy named Alfie (can't recall his last name), whose family operated the Commercial Hotel & Pub in Montrose; Rhoda Shirley; Tom Shirley, then CTR2.
